CARRYING THE MESSAGE
Invite your Doctor to an open meeting of AA (so they'll have a better idea of what we do and what we don't do)... Invite your Clergy / Minister to an open meeting Invite people you already know... people who may be in a position to refer a suffering alcoholic to AA: Who do you know?
A policeman? A nurse? An EMT? A Fireman? A social worker? A Teacher?
Remember, Open meetings are for anyone who may be interested in learning more about AA; Make sure they know how to get in touch with AA:
704-865-1561 aa.org wpintergroup.org
Maybe you could give them a meeting schedule and an appropriate pamphlet. Examples include, but are not limited to "This is AA" "F.A.Q. about AA" "a member of the Clergy asks about AA" "If you are a professional" "A brief guide to AA" etc., etc. All these and more are available at intergroup And for those who prefer going online, all this is readily available at aa.org
so... who do you already know that may be available to save someone's life by pointing them to AA?
